ASPPA ACOPA ELECTS JOHN MARKLEY TO NATIONAL COUNCIL

 

The American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries College of Pension Actuaries (ACOPA) has elected John R. Markley to their Leadership Council for a three year term. John also continues as Vice Chairman of the ASPPA Government Affairs Committee IRS sub-committee. 

“My focus and goals revolve around improving relationships with government agencies and reducing risk in pension plans,” states Markley. “There is a large need to improve both of these areas to benefit everyone in the profession, including the clients of actuarial services.” 

Markley notes, “There is a perception that companies in Central Pennsylvania area have to go to large cities to get national expertise and connections. This nomination provides these companies with a local resource to tap into that expertise and be in touch with decision makers.”
