Tell us a little bit about the WDGBT. What do you do? What are you best known for?
Walz, Deihm, Geisenberger, Bucklen & Tennis, P.C. is a full service accounting, tax, and business advisory firm located in Lancaster.  We have earned an outstanding reputation for providing innovative tax and financial expertise.  We believe that we have distinguished ourselves by providing the practical business advice that helps companies reach their full potential.

When and how did WDGBT start?
In 1978, Glenn Walz bought his first office space in Strasburg and began servicing clients.  He founded the firm based on a philosophy of personal service and timely responsiveness to clients.  A year later, Denny Deihm came aboard and so began the first of many names changes over the years as the firm grew and more partners were added.

How has it grown? How many employees do you currently have?
Walz, Deihm, Geisenberger, Bucklen & Tennis, P.C. has grown from a three-person Strasburg firm to a regional full service accounting firm with over 45 employees.  We are continuing to grow and are adding new niches to our extensive list of services

Why is your company so successful?
The firm has a great client base and talented and motivated professionals. We are dedicated to increasing our clients’ profitability, and as our clients grow, we also grow and become more successful. We challenge ourselves daily to grow and continue to meet and exceed the needs of our clients.

Why is the greatest reward in your field?  Greatest challenge?
Specifically for our firm, seeing our clients prosper is the greatest reward. We also take pride in being able to provide for our staff.  A constantly changing regulatory environment is the profession’s greatest challenge.

What do you like about doing business in this area?  How does your company participate in the community?
South Central Pennsylvania provides a lot of opportunities for growth.  This area weathers economic downturn better than other areas in the United States.  The people we work with are good-natured and of high character.  The firm and its employees provide not only discounted services to numerous not-for-profits but also contributions of our money, time and talents to many of these community organizations.

What makes your company a great employer?
We care about our employees and desire for them to succeed.

How about you – Tell us about your background and role with WDGBT.
