Background

John founded the firm in 1985 and has over 30 years of experience providing services to qualified retirement plans. Before starting the firm, John had 5 years of experience with Coopers & Lybrand, where he was responsible for services provided to Fortune 500-size clients and he participated in the design and implementation of early 401(k) plans. John's primary responsibilities include sharing our services with potential clients and providing legislative perspective.

Areas of Specialty

• As CEO of the Firm, John serves on our Leadership/Management Team to ensure that our organization structure, Key Performance Measures and initiatives are consistent with our Strategic Plan
• Leads our organization to achieve our vision
• Leads the Firm's sales and marketing efforts, including continuous development of our relationships with other service providers with whom our clients engage regarding their retirement program
• Serves as Consultant to defined benefit pension plans, including large plans, municipal plans, and plans with employee contributions
• Serves as consultant for FAS 106 and GASB 45 clients in the valuation of post-employment benefits other than pensions

Education

• BS degree in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina
• MBA degree from Pennsylvania State University

Community Involvement

• Vice Chair of the Government Affairs Committee of ASPPA where he works on a sub-committee responsible for commenting on IRS proposed regulations
• Member of the Human Resources Committee of the Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center of Lancaster
• Member of the Pension Committee of the United Way of Lancaster
• Graduate of the Leadership Lancaster Program, Class of 2000
• Past President of the Lancaster Northeast Rotary Club
