Congratulations!

Erik Mitchell and Jill Hermansader have been awarded the designation of Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent, as approved by the Internal Revenue Service.  This designation will allow Erik and Jill to represent Markley Actuarial's clients before the IRS on matters involving Determination Letters, Compliance Resolution and Plan Program design.

Erik Mitchell continues to coach his son, Conner ’s baseball team.  They won their section last year, so here’s hoping for a repeat in 2010! 

Lisa Pfautz graduated from Leadership Lancaster on May 19.  Leadership Lancaster prepares leaders for roles that will shape the future of the County. A strenuous 9 month program exposed Lisa to Lancaster’s infrastructure and community resources.  We are proud of Lisa’s commitment to this program!

Lisa Showalter is a member of the Women’s Giving Circle of Lancaster General Health Women and Babies Hospital.  Gathering three times per year to educate themselves on community health issues, they also allocate collective funds to bring new and innovative programs to the hospital.


John Markley
can be found picking up trash on May 1st!  His Rotary Club sponsors a section of highway and John is a regular volunteer for this and other Rotary projects.

Cindy Cover serves on the Board of Central Market Trust.  Central Market, a 22,000 square foot, 118 year-old architectural gem, is the oldest continuously operating farmers’ market in the country.  The Trust recently raised $7,000,000 for much needed capital renovations.

Kyle Pfautz
, son of Lisa Pfautz, is ready to graduate from the Naval Music School in Norfolk, Virginia.  A talented musician, he will be stationed at Ft. Benning, GA.

Jason Showalter, son of Lisa Showalter, will be a June graduate of Conestoga Valley High School, and will continue his education at West Chester University, majoring in accounting.

Gwen Shirey's daughter, Kayla, will be a June graduate of Lampeter Strasburg High School, and will be attending Lock Haven University, majoring in pre-veterinary medicine.

Quinn Fox, daughter of Lisa Fox, joined the cast of Goodknight and Goodbye, Conestoga Valley Middle School’s spring play. 

At Conestoga Valley Middle School's Awards Ceremony, Quinn was a surprised recipient of the Principal's Award, which recognizes the top student in each of three 8th grade groups.
