User Instructions
Markley Actuarial has an easy, secure way for you to transmit employee census data and other sensitive information to us. We can also utilize this system to send reports to you. This process is as simple as attaching a file to an email. However, unlike email, by utilizing SecureFileX the file is transmitted via a secure server which encrypts this sensitive data and protects the privacy of this information.
Getting Started
When Markley Actuarial sets up your account, you will receive an email notification that your SecureFileX account has been set up, and asking you to activate your account by creating your password.
Spam Filtering Alert: The new account activation email, as well as emails telling you a file is waiting for you to download, will be coming from Support@SecureFileX.com. If your spam filtering utilizes a "trusted senders" list or "white list," please add this address so this email will not be blocked.
After creating your password, you will be taken to the logĀin page https://markleyactuarial.securefilex.com. For easy access, you may want to save this log-in page in your web browser's "Favorites" or on your desk top. If you forget your password, the log-in page contains a link where you can request a password reset.
Received/Sent Files and Sending Files
Click on My Files tab to view a list of received and sent files, as well as to send a file to us.
Received Files: Click on the file name to read or download a file. If you wish to work within a file, you must download and save the file to your system. Otherwise, your changes will not be saved. You may delete the files from SecureFileX after downloading or reading them. All files will be deleted from the server automatically after 7, 14 or 21 days, depending upon the parameter selected by the sender.
Sent Files: Click on "My Files" tab and then the "Sent Files" tab to view a list of files you have sent over the last 90 days.
Sending Files: Click on "My Files" and then "Send a File" option.
- By default, the individual assigned to your account will appear in the "Send To" drop down box. You can select another by choosing the "Show All Users" circle and browsing through the drop-down box. To send the message to multiple individuals, select "I'd like to send to multiple people", and four additional address boxes will pop up. This is also the way to send it to yourself if you want a receipt in your computer's e-mail.
- Browse to select the file you wish to send, or select "I have more than one file to send" to browse for additional files to attach.
- Select the expiration time frame (7, 14 or 21 days), and notification options.
